Senior SharePoint Developer

Job Description:
Lead and guide a team of developers and business analyst to implement Portal technologies using MOSS 2007 at the enterprise level. Must be a self-starter with a strong technology background and must possess the ability to resolve technical issues with MOSS 2007.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements management, change control and configuration management, testing and issue tracking, deployment, and stabilization
- Communicate effectively with senior level government officials and work closely with government technical resources and other contractors
- Furnish technical status reports, action items, and tasks completed
- Assist the project manager with resource management, task identification and scheduling, and identifying, recording, communicating, and resolving risks
- Resolve tough technical issues through collaboration with developers, network staff, database support staff, and research
- Design Portal implementation, including content management processes and customization
- Compile high quality technical documentation for all aspects of portal deployment including deployment checklists, stabilization plans, backup and restore procedures, site collection move verification
- SharePoint farm management at the enterprise level
- Manage a SharePoint Server farm
Required Qualifications:
- At least 10 years in the software field with a development background
- Minimum 2 years experience with MOSS 2007
- Proficiency configuring and customizing SharePoint lists and libraries, surveys, meeting workspaces, and site templates
- Experience using out-of-the-box web parts (page viewer, content editor, content query, etc.)
- Familiarity with implementing MOSS 2007 Enterprise Features (Excel Services, Forms Server, Business Data Connector/Catalog, etc.)
- Experience with Visual Studio .Net, SharePoint Designer, and InfoPath
- Knowledge of SharePoint look-and-feel elements including master pages, themes, and page layout
- Ability to implement out-of-the-box workflows and design workflows with SharePoint Designer
- Ability to configure and customize SharePoint search
- Familiarity with using the stsadm utility to perform management functions (backup and restore, deploy web parts and solutions, etc.)
- Ability to integrate Active Directory with SharePoint user profiles
- Ability to implement SharePoint Content Management workflow processes
- Microsoft SharePoint certified
Desired Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional
- Familiarity with .Net programming in C
- Experience with third-party SharePoint tools such as CorasWorks, AvePoint, Bamboo, Axceler, etc.
Education/Clearance Requirements:
- Bachelor*s degree (Master*s preferred) in computer science or engineering
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (MUST be a US Citizen)
